This is undoubtedly one of the most scientifically accurate and detailed Ankylosaurus sculpts out there. It is a shame that the poor paint job has ruined this figure for me; there is a ridiculous grey wash over the top of the figure, almost draining the colors of any vibrancy.

One of my favourite models of recent purchases, well painted and looks like a a real animal. Its like a breath of fresh air as my ankylosaurus models are often in a defensive pose rather than the neutral relaxed pose this dinosaur has. Its almost as if its looking up at a larger herbivore or another animal in a tree.

This PNSO Ankylosaurus is one of the favourite models in my extensive collection. It’s a good size and the level of detail is fantastic. For me, its great strength is the life-like feel imparted by the talented sculptor.. He’s not static but captured in mid-stride, the tilt of the head suggesting curiosity at something he’s encountered, almost as frozen in a photograph. He has a very calm, peaceful feel – it’s always pleasant to have a herbivore that isn’t in a state of terror induced by predator attack. It’s a good paint job too – plenty of interest but eminently believable.
